Having joined the Travel Industry in January 2000, I became a sales consultant for Orchid Travel at their call centre in Birmingham. During my time at Orchid Travel I gained a great deal of knowledge on Europe, Florida, Worldwide, Packages and Cruise Holidays, my personal favourite.

Orchid was taken over by Thomas Cook and year after year my knowlege increased through various training programes and also different levels of examinations. During the summer of 2001 Thomas Cook launched their homeworking programme and I was lucky enough to become part of this. I really enjoyed the challenge of motivating myself and still hitting targets without the support of a team.

Thomas Cook was later to launch Cruise Direct2U, I had previously sold cruise packages and relished the challenge. The centre made a big success of the Cruise department and it was moved to Mytravel offices in Accrington, due to its swift expansion.

In January 2007, unfortunate redundancies within Thomas Cook brought a new challenge for all. We decided to enter into a new venture and use all our many years of experience to form a new style travel agency offering a more personal service to loyal customers.
